PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS
Derived from Betula alba, a plant of the Betulaceae family, Birch essential oil has many properties and is known to drain the body and invigorate the lymphatic and circulatory systems. • Anti-inflammatory: its rubefacient action is beneficial in the treatment of arthritis, arthrosis,
rheumatism and sciatica, as it increases blood circulation in the superficial layers of the skin, thus heating the area and relieving any underlying inflammation. • Draining: helps prevent venous- and circulation-
related problems, such as heavy legs, swelling, oedema and lymphatic stagnation.
The diuretic action promotes the elimination of excess fluids and significantly reduces clogging and pain, which is why it is indicated in case of water retention and adiposity. • Antiseptic: its purifying action helps revitalise oily hair and/or hair with dandruff, and is beneficial for oily or impure skin. • Cicatrising: an excellent remedy for skin problems, eczema and psoriasis.

HOW TO USE
SUGGESTED USE • Diffusion: pour one drop per square metre in the diffuser of choice, i.e. in an essential oil burner or in the water of radiator humidifiers. • Anti-cellulite lotion: 10 drops of Birch e.o. diluted in 100
mL of Sweet Almond oil and added to 5 drops of Rosemary oil and 5 drops of Lemon e.o.;
apply a small amount to the legs and massage upwards, for 10 minutes, once a day. • Soothing lotion: pour 5 drops of Birch e.o. into 50 mL of Shea butter, add 5 drops of Lavender e.o. and massage onto the areas to be
treated until fully absorbed. • Hair lotion: a few drops of Birch e.o. added to a neutral shampoo are beneficial for oily scalp and/or hair with dandruff. • Purifying mask (recommended for acne-prone skin):
add 1 to 2 drops to a tablespoon of green clay, a little warm water, 5 drops of Laurel e.o., 2 drops of Rosemary e.o.; apply to damp face, leave for 10 minutes then rinse it off.

Not for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in children under 5 years of age and in people with oedemas due to cardiac or renal insufficiency.
